On behalf of the governors of the school I would like to extend a warm welcome to you. We do our best to work alongside the staff on your behalf to fulfil our school aims of providing a high standard of education together with a caring family atmosphere of which we hope you will feel a necessary part. I attended both primary school and secondary school in the town before going onto the University of Nottingham.  I am a Knowledge Transfer manager at the University of Derby, responsible for developing collaborations between the university and industry'

'I live in Ripley with my partner Lyndsay and am honoured to be selected as a governor for the school. I play an active role in the community and am involved in the Friends of Ripley Greenway, a volunteer group which ensures the Greenway is a pleasant place to walk and play. We take part in litter picks, bulb planting, cutting back the overgrown areas, and are always looking for volunteers to join us! I work full time as a senior manager for HM Land Registry and am a Ripley Town Councillor and Amber Valley borough councillor for the Ripley ward.'
